Welcome to Old Englewood
OLD ENGLEWOOD OFFERS ALL THE LOVELY FEATURES OF A SUBURBAN NEIGHBORHOOD WITH THE CONVENIENCES AND AMENITIES OF CITY LIVING.
Englewood is quiet and peaceful, with wide streets, old trees, and big back yards. The residential areas are evenly spaced with classic, sturdy homes and sidewalks perfect for evening strolls. At the same time, the neighborhood is growing, and with that comes interesting, more modern architecture, as well as more and more commercial appeal.
The greatest benefit of Englewood is the marrying of worlds. While you can enjoy the pace of suburban life, there is convenient access to public transportation via light rail and city bus, or downtown is a simple 15-20 minute car trip.
No need to leave Englewood for entertainment, however. Take in a concert at the Gothic or Fiddler’s Green; enjoy athletic attractions, like the Inverness Golf Course and many parks; or pop in for dinner at Steakhouse 10. Read this great article for Old Englewood from 5280 click here!

SHOPPING/ENTERTAINMENT
Englewood is equal parts urban attraction and suburban convenience. Pop-in to cute boutiques like FATE consignment and the new-age Goddess Isis for books and gifts; or shop the Brookridge Shopping Center and Englewood Plaza for trusted big box stores. Major mall shopping is a quick jaunt down I-25 at Park Meadows and IKEA.
For music and culture, options abound. Many of the restaurants offer live music; or purchase tickets for major shows at the historic Gothic theater or Fiddler’s Green. You can also visit the Museum of the Outdoor Arts. On a hot day, visit the Pirate’s Cove Water Park, or enjoy a quick drive to the Cherry Creek Reservoir. Englewood offers a wide variety of daily amenities, including several grocery stores (Safeway, King Soopers, and Sprouts); pharmacies (Walgreens, Rite Aid, CVS); and large supply stores such as Costco, Target, Walmart, and Murdoch’s nearby.

RESTAURANTS & GROCERIES
Of course, with the downtown neighborhoods so close by, there is a plethora of fine dining near Englewood. But there are fantastic choices right in the neighborhood too! If you’re a carnivore, Steakhouse 10 is a must. For New American food, check out Acres or The Copper Pot, or Moe’s BBQ for classic American favorites and BBQ. For Italian, there are many options, Pino’s Pizzeria (my absolute favorite), also try Colore and Undici. Hands-down, Lucile’s is worth the wait for brunch, and Atticus is an excellent spot for a casual lunch. Just opened less tha a year ago Cherry Hills Sushi Co. I go there every week with my family!
Trompeau Bakery is a fantastic local option for good coffee and French pastries. Or you can also hit up Kaladi, Nixon’s and Sacred Grounds for a local coffeehouse vibe. If you’re in search of a drink, try Casual Lounge, Brew on Broadway, or Devil’s Head Distillery. |
